Mission of the Unit

To create multi-destination vacation packages featuring The Bahamas, while partnering with other destinations to promote, sell and deliver varied vacation experiences. The initial focus will be collaboration with Cuba and The Caribbean to promote mutual benefits for each destination, while satisfying diverse clientele.

This festival will feature all aspects of Bahamian culture, from music to dance, food, arts, and poetry, plus Bahamian past-time competitions.

The event is organized by The Bahamas Ministry of Tourism and The Berry Islands Tourism Advisory Board.

The BahamaHost Tour Guiding Program is for participants who wish to acquire the highest level of professional tour guiding skills and competencies. The BahamaHost Entrepreneurship Program is a 40-hour training program, which provides thorough and research-based training. It is designed to prepare individuals who are desirous of starting a business for what to expect. The program focuses attention on a number of core areas, which are as follows:

The BahamaHost Cultural Immersion Program was originally designed for expatriates living in The Bahamas. However, it can also serve the needs of Bahamians and other persons living in The Bahamas, as it aims to provide vital product information about the country. The cultural immersion program immerses participants in one full day of Bahamian Work Force Orientation. This orientation aids in assisting persons in assimilating into the Bahamian way of life, customs, and work ethics. Once this is done, participants should have a greater appreciation for our evolution as a society. 

The BahamaHost Leadership Training Program is a supplementary course that reinforces leadership competencies such as skills and attitudes. It also seeks to enhance the culture of service excellence within organizations.
