The Bimini Native Fishing Tournament

The first Bimini Native Fishing Tournament was held in the early 1950’s by a group of natives who organized the Progressive Sporting Club. This year’s tournament will consist of 3 days of activities from August 3-5, 2023. The opening ceremony will take place at Bimini Big Game Club Resort & Marina on Thursday evening followed by a full day of fishing on Friday and a half day of fishing on Saturday. The awards and closing ceremony will take place at Bimini Big John’s on Saturday night.

Glenda's Road Race

 Come on let's run the streets of Bimini in the Annual Glenda's Road Race. This Road Race has been on the calendar for years in honor of a local Biminite, the late Mr. Glen Rolle. Every year the children of Mr. Glen Rolle pay respects by putting on this race, so put on your sneakers, shorts and knee braces and take to the streets, there will be prizes and surprises.

GOVERNOR'S HARBOUR HOMECOMING

Come on down to the Governor's Harbour Homecoming where the best Bahamian and native dishes will be served. Food such as baked macaroni, cracked conch, fried plantain and some good old peas and rice will be on sale. Each stall has something unique and flavorful. 

There will be board games, live local band and performances by some of our Bahamian artists.

The event is organized by the Governor's Harbour Development Association. Funds raised assist with community projects and initiatives for the young and old.

GFNY BAHAMAS: RIDE THROUGH PARADISE!

Food & Craft Festival

This event displays locally created crafts from our Eleuthera vendors. There will be a live Bahamian band, junkanoo rush out, and delicious native food and drinks.
Bring the whole family out and have a great time!

Bahamas Hope Challenge

The Annual Bahamas Hope Challenge unites people who cycle, run, and walk distances of their choice and at their own pace. The proceeds from this fundraising event go directly towards helping Bahamians fight cancer."

CANCER SOCIETY OF ELEUTHERA ANNUAL HOPE BALL

The Hope Ball is an event held each year on Eleuthera. Ladies and gentlemen get a chance to dress up in their Sunday's Best and enjoy a fun-filled evening of dancing, dining, and engaging in conversation.
Funds raised from the event go towards helping persons in the community and educating the public about the different kinds of cancers and treatment options available.

Eleuthera Junior Junkanoo Parade

This event is held mainly for pre-school, primary and secondary schools to learn about their culture. This will ensure the growth and survival of junkanoo for years to come. "Come feel the rush Eleuthera style!!"

There will be drummers, trumpet blowers, cowbell shakers, and so much more.
