The Bahamas Independence celebrations are in the air! Come out and enjoy a great day of activities with the descendants of Rock Sound, Eleuthera.
There will be a cultural show, local entertainment, fireworks, church service, and a junkanoo rush out. Bring the whole family out!
The Local Government Township of Governor's Harbour are hosting a cultural fun day throughout for everyone.
The children in the community are encouraged to bring their bicycles, scooters, marbles, and balls to enjoy a fun-filled Independence Day at the parks.
The Local Government Township and members of the community will be providing down home food, drinks, and desserts throughout the day.
A Bahamas Independence celebration would not be complete without a cultural show which showcases our Bahamian culture and talents. Some of the activities include singing, dancing, instrumental selections, junkanoo rush-outs, plaiting of the maypole, and fireworks.
The month of July is special to the people of The Bahamas. This is the month in which Bahamians celebrate and remember when The Bahamas gained its independence, July 10th, 1973.
Come out and join the congregation of St. Stephen's Baptist Church as they celebrate The Bahamas' 52nd Independence.
