Nashville Hitmakers Bring Rhythm & Roots to The Bahamas, Uniting Songwriting, Student Mentorship, and Island Culture
American Idol alumni and emerging country artists will perform alongside Bahamian students in Abaco, November 13–14
ABACO, BAHAMAS (2 September 2026): A slate of Nashville songwriters and recording artists, including American Idol alumni Butter and Grit, Luke, and Laurel, along with rising Texas born singer songwriter Garrett Bradford, will travel to Abaco, Bahamas, this November for Rhythm & Roots, a two night music festival anchored by a week long songwriting collaboration with local students.
The trip is part of the Nashville Bahamian Student Collaboration, taking place November 8 to 15, 2026. Visiting songwriters will spend their afternoons mentoring students through an after school programme before headlining two public performances: an intimate dinner concert on Friday, November 13, and a larger public concert on Saturday, November 14, at Abaco Beach Resort.
Garrett Bradford, whose song “This Way of Life” was featured in Yellowstone (Season 3, Episode 9) and became one of the most Shazammed country songs in the U.S., will join the lineup alongside Butter and Grit and fellow American Idol alumni Luke and Laurel. The event is being promoted through Country Fix, a nationally syndicated U.S. television programme reaching an estimated 120 million households weekly across more than 15 broadcast, cable, satellite, and streaming platforms.

Organisers describe the festival as a destination cultural event that pairs world-class songwriting talent with Bahamian tradition. Junkanoo performers, local student musicians, and Bahamian visual artists will share the stage and festival grounds alongside the visiting Nashville acts. Travel partnerships with regional carriers are being finalised to support direct connections from Nashville and Central Florida for U.S. attendees.
Friday's dinner concert is limited to 60 to 100 guests for a premium, mingle with the artists experience, while Saturday's concert opens to a broader festival style audience of 300 to 400 in a tented, oceanfront setting. Proceeds from both nights support Bahamian music education programmes for local students.
