Breeze Airways Launches Nonstop Service to Nassau, Expanding Summer Airlift to The Bahamas

NASSAU, The Bahamas (January 29th, 2026) — The Bahamas Ministry of Tourism, Investments & Aviation (BMOTIA) today welcomed the announcement by Breeze Airways of new nonstop air service between Tampa, Florida and Nassau, strengthening summer connectivity to The Bahamas and expanding access to one of the destination’s key U.S. feeder markets.

Beginning June 11, 2026, Breeze will operate nonstop service to Nassau twice weekly, offering travelers a convenient, affordable option to experience The Bahamas during the peak summer travel season. The route positions Tampa as an additional gateway for visitors seeking direct access to Nassau while supporting the country’s broader airlift growth strategy.

The new service marks Nassau as Breeze Airways’ fourth international destination and reflects continued airline confidence in The Bahamas as a high-demand, year-round leisure market.

“Expanding nonstop air service remains a core pillar of our tourism growth strategy, and this new route with Breeze Airways enhances access to Nassau while opening additional opportunities for visitation, investment, and economic activity,” said the Hon. I. Chester Cooper, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Tourism, Investments & Aviation. “As we continue to strengthen airlift from key U.S. markets, partnerships like this ensure The Bahamas remains competitive, connected, and well-positioned for sustained growth.”

Breeze Airways is known for its direct service to underserved markets and its modern Airbus A220 fleet, offering flexible fare options and an elevated onboard experience. The Tampa–Nassau route is part of the airline’s broader summer expansion across the United States and the Caribbean.
