BAHAMAS INTERNATIONAL FILM FESTIVAL FILM LINE UP REVEALED

December 1, 2025 – Nassau, Bahamas The Bahamas International Film Festival (BIFF) is delighted to announce its 20th anniversary celebration in 2025. This momentous event will encompass a diverse array of activities scheduled from December 7th to 14th, 2025, spanning two picturesque locations: Nassau, New Providence, and Harbour Island, Eleuthera. The longstanding tradition of “island hopping” will be preserved, seamlessly connecting the primary events in Nassau with the charming community of Harbour Island in Eleuthera.

Leslie Vanderpool, Founder and Executive Director of the BIFF, today unveiled the official program, which includes 28 films from 12 nations, both in and out of competition. The captivating lineup includes world premieres, Caribbean premieres, and all Bahamian premieres. This year’s festival will feature three competitive categories: Spirit of Freedom: Narrative, New Visions, and Short Film.

“BIFF must be acknowledged for its dedication to presenting a diverse range of impactful films. We emphasize the significance of freedom of expression through cinema, viewing film festivals as curated platforms designed to elicit immediate audience responses. Our festival is renowned for its festive atmosphere, fostering a culture of camaraderie among attendees, and creating an environment for inspiration and unity,” Vanderpool underscored BIFF’s esteemed position in global cinema.

BIFF commences on Sunday, December 7th, extending until Wednesday, December 10th, in Nassau, New Providence, followed by Thursday, December 11th through Sunday, December 14th, in Harbour Island, Eleuthera. The 20th Anniversary celebration will utilize stunning venues across both islands, including John Watling's Distillery, Baha Mar ECCHO Gallery, Goldwynn Resort, and Valentine's Resort & Marina.
