The Bahamas Hosts Signature Bahamas Night at ITB Berlin

BERLIN, Germany (23 March 2026) — The Bahamas Ministry of Tourism, Investments & Aviation (BMOTIA) elevated its presence at ITB Berlin 2026 with an exclusive Bahamas Night experience, bringing together premier global tourism partners and industry leaders for an unforgettable, high‑style celebration spotlighting the islands’ iconic cinematic heritage.

Held in the Moët & Chandon Champagne Lounge at the iconic KaDeWe on Berlin’s Kurfürstendamm, this year’s event embraced a sophisticated James Bond-inspired theme, paying tribute to the longstanding connection between The Bahamas and the global film industry. Guests were invited to step “inside the world of 007,” celebrating the glamour, intrigue and natural beauty that have made The Islands of The Bahamas a sought-after filming destination for decades.

The event brought together top tourism partners, leading airline representatives, premier tour operators, influential media and key industry stakeholders for an unforgettable evening that seamlessly fused cinematic spectacle with refined Bahamian elegance. Guests were immersed in striking Bond‑inspired visuals and captivating imagery from across the islands, an experience designed to ignite excitement and showcase the unmatched adventure, sophistication and timeless allure that define The Islands of The Bahamas.

“We were thrilled to once again host our signature Bahamas Night at ITB Berlin, this year in a truly exceptional setting,” said Latia Duncombe, Director General, The Bahamas Ministry of Tourism, Investments & Aviation. “Welcoming our partners to the luxurious Moët & Chandon Lounge at the iconic KaDeWe on Kurfürstendamm allowed us to immerse them in unforgettable James Bond inspired moments and vibrant visuals from across our islands. In just two hours, we reignited powerful excitement for The Bahamas—showcasing not only the strength and professionalism of our global tourism partnerships, but also the unmistakable joy, warmth and energy that define the Bahamian experience.”

The evening also highlighted the enduring role of The Bahamas in the global film industry. Several James Bond films, including Thunderball and Casino Royale, were filmed across the islands, whose crystal-clear waters, dramatic underwater landscapes and elegant island settings have long attracted international filmmakers.

Inspired by these iconic filming locations, guests were invited to participate in an exclusive champagne tasting experience guided by a sommelier. A curated selection of champagnes was presented, each chosen for its character, elegance and distinction, mirroring the diverse personalities of the islands themselves.

Beyond the celebration, the event also underscored the strong momentum of The Bahamas’ tourism partnerships during ITB Berlin. The Bahamas delegation conducted approximately

40 meetings with key international tourism stakeholders, including airline partners such as British Airways and Air Canada, focusing on strengthening connectivity and expanding visitor access to the destination. Majestic Holidays, Four Season Ocean Club, Warwick Paradise Island and Sandals accompanied this year’s Bahamas delegation to Berlin.

Major European tour operator partners TUI and DERTOUR Group also reaffirmed their commitment to expanding stopover tourism to The Bahamas, reporting positive forward booking trends and growing demand for the destination.

Reflecting on the evening’s success, Ms. Duncombe shared: “Bahamas Night once again proved the power and vibrancy of our global tourism partnerships. ITB Berlin remains one of our most influential stages, giving us the opportunity to connect, collaborate and showcase the soul of our islands in a truly compelling way. The Bahamas offers not only stunning natural beauty, but unforgettable, transformative experiences that continue to inspire and draw travelers from every corner of the world.”

As the evening wrapped up in the heart of Berlin, guests left energized, carrying with them a renewed sense of inspiration and a powerful reminder of The Bahamas’ timeless allure, where cinematic mystique, breathtaking natural beauty, and warm island hospitality blend into unforgettable experiences.
