20th Annual Bahamian Music & Heritage Festival

NASSAU, Bahamas (03 Feb. 2026) – The Ministry of Tourism, Investments & Aviation announces the staging of the annual Bahamian Music & Heritage Festival, marking 20 years in existence. The two-day festival scheduled for 13-14 March is scheduled to take place in George Town, Exuma, at the Regatta Park.

Under the theme, “Celebrating our past, embracing our future”, this year’s festival marks two decades of honouring the vibrant culture, music and traditions of The Bahamas, offering an immersive experience that highlights the spirit of Bahamian heritage.

"This festival, remarkably now in its 20th year has been a strong pillar of the Exuma community,” said the Honourable. I. Chester Cooper, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Tourism, Investments & Aviation. “Cultural tourism helps to promote our destination to both the national and international community. This festival not only serves to protect and preserve our heritage but also remains an economic boost that highlights the unique culture of The Exumas".

The Bahamian Music & Heritage Festival features a mixture of cultural activities, educational sessions, and concerts, making it a must-attend event for locals and tourists alike. This year’s festival will feature an exciting lineup of Bahamian musicians and local bands. The concert series will showcase top Bahamian entertainers, with performances on Friday, March 13, by: Gospel Medley, the Exuma Rake n Scrape Band, Shaad Collie & The VIPS, Bassel Smith, Kenyatta Taylor, Ironn Storr, Veronica Bishop, Funky D and Geno D. On Saturday, March 14, the stage will come alive with performances by Obeah Man, Dat Rake Band, The Crusaders, Dimitri, Karrington McKenzie, Jammin’ Rahming, Fanshawn, Nishie L.S. and D Mac.

Beyond the music, attendees can immerse themselves in a variety of cultural experiences, including traditional Bahamian games, a kid's corner offering fun-filled activities for young festivalgoers, interactive arts and crafts demonstrations and delicious Bahamian cuisine.

The Bahamian Music & Heritage Festival remains a symbol of national pride with its dynamic combination of music, food and cultural expression, providing both Bahamians and visitors with an authentic taste of the islands.
