This is the largest Gymnastics Competition in the Caribbean, and it will feature men’s and women’s gymnastics, plus trampoline and tumbling. Special guest will be three-time Olympic Champion, Svetlana Boginskaya.
The field for the 2021 Hero World Challenge has been announced, as the limited-field PGA TOUR event hosted by Tiger Woods is set to return to Albany, Bahamas, November 29 – December 5.
In this NCAA Division 1 pre-season college basketball tournament, eight of the USA's top men's teams battle to become the champion: Villanova, Arizona, Purdue, NC State, Tennessee, SMU, Western Kentucky, and Northern Iowa.
The Bahamas Half Marathon includes an individual half marathon, a three-person half marathon relay, a 10k run, and a 5k run.
The Authentically Bahamian Marketplace, sponsored by the Bahamas Ministry of Tourism, features handmade Bahamian Craft and Souvenir products. It is held each Saturday and Sunday between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m., at Pompey Square, in downtown Nassau. An Authentic Bahamian Craft and Souvenir Experience awaits you!
Music is provided by a variety of local artists. Admission is free and the event is kid friendly.
The Transforming Spaces art tour began in 2004, and since then this annual event has redefined the perception of Bahamian art and creativity, and provided exposure for hundreds of local artists. The format continues to evolve and now also features live performances and visits to non-traditional galleries in order to attract a varied audience, including locals and visitors.
The Christmas Village is open to the public every weeknight from 4 p.m. – 9 p.m. showcasing authentic Bahamian gifts and Christmas decorations, mouthwatering holiday treats and great Bahamian entertainment.
Monday through Friday there is something for every family member in the Christmas Village. The first 100 kids will get to choose a gift from under the Christmas tree each evening. Santa Claus and his helpers will also be on hand for photos. There will be a bouncing castle, a Christmas arts and crafts stations and much more.
Junkanoo, the National Festival of The Bahamas, is an expression of Bahamian art and culture. Large groups parade with elaborate costumes, dancing or playing goatskin drums, horns, bells, or whistles, as thousands watch and dance along.
