Best of the Best Regatta

Hundreds of sailors participate in this much-anticipated event for local and international fans of sloop sailing. Boaters prepare year round and some of the top A, B, and C class boats will race.

Onshore activities throughout the day include vendors serving succulent Bahamian dishes, a kiddie corner featuring face painting, characters, a magic man, a bouncing castle, and Santa Claus will also be coming to town.

People-To-People Romance Tea Party

Lady Ingrid Darling will be your hostess for this event, which will be a different take on our usual monthly tea party. You can sample Bahamian 'bush' teas and locally-made sandwiches and pastries, while enjoying Bahamian storytelling, live music, and a fashion show by Bahamian designers.

Venue: Historic Government House / Dress Code: Smart Casual.

Experience Majority Rule

You can celebrate Majority Rule Day and learn how it all came about at Clifton Heritage National Park!

During the entire month of January, the Heritage Tour Experience provides a unique reenactment of the event with packages for walk-ins and Bahamian residents only. Park and beach access are included, and you also have the option to add lunch. Performances will take place at 10:00 a.m., 1:00 p.m., and 3:00 p.m. each day.

Bahamas Poker Run

This annual charity event, the first of its kind for local maritime sport, benefits the Bahamas National Trust. It initially started in 2016 with 26 participating boats and has now grown to over 70 boats.

Hundreds of boating enthusiasts — personal boat owners, commercial boat charters, engineers and mechanics, captains, and beach-goers — ride in a convoy of powerboats departing from Nassau Harbour (New Providence) and traveling to the northern islands of Eleuthera.

Coral Harbour Native Show

This event provides a Native experience for visitors traveling to Nassau & Paradise Island. It features live performances by local Bahamian artists, including Fire Dancing, Limbo Dancing, and Rake 'N Scrape music, hosted by Darold Miller. The cost of the show is $55.00 for persons over 12 Years Old / $25.00 for Children under 12; it includes one drink.
