Locals and visitors get the opportunity to enjoy a variety of dishes prepared using conch. This is also an enjoyable time for the locals and visitors to come out and enjoy the festivities.

Pineapple Festival

The Pineapple Festival is a yearly celebration in the Gregory Town, Eleuthera area. During this time descendants return home to visit relatives and friends that they haven't seen in a long time. This is a time when the pineapple farmers get a chance to see their great harvest on display in a variety of ways. This also demonstrates the determination of our local farmers to keep the pineapple crop growing on our island for generations to come.

Randal Fawkes Labour Day

Sir Randal Fawkes established Labour Day in 1961, and it is now named in his honor. On this holiday, members of the labor unions from different organizations, as well as political parties, march in a large parade through the streets of downtown Nassau beginning around 10:00 a.m.

The homecoming is a great way to welcome many domestic and international visitors during The Bahamas Independence week of celebrations.
There will be local performances, live entertainment by Bahamian artists, fun, food, and games for everyone.

HAULERS FISHING FESTIVAL

This event is an annual tradition of hauling Jack fish. Activities include games, live entertainment, and local performances. 
There will be delicious native food, drinks, and desserts on sale.

The Tarpum Bay festival is a way to encourage descendants to come together and have an enjoyable time with family, friends, and visitors in the area. There will be live entertainment, junkanoo rush-outs, and delicious native dishes and items on sale.

Bannerman Town Festival

The Bannerman Town Festival is a great time for friends, family, and visitors to come out on the weekend and have a great time.
There will be delicious native food, ice-cold beverages, desserts, live entertainment, and games.

WEMYSS' BIGHT HOMECOMING FESTIVAL

If you have never taken a road trip before or visited further south this would be a great time to do so. There will be a variety of food vendors displaying their delicious menu items. Lots of games. live entertainment and Bahamian entertainment.

3RD ANNUAL BEACH WALK

The Cancer Society of The Bahamas Eleuthera Branch will be hosting their annual beach walk. Community groups, organizations, locals, and visitors can join in the fun to encourage a healthy lifestyle.

This activity takes place yearly on the last Saturday in October.
Registration Fee: $25.00 per person.

GOVERNOR'S HARBOUR HOMECOMING

Come on down to the Governor's Harbour Homecoming where the best Bahamian and native dishes will be served. Food such as baked macaroni, cracked conch, fried plantain and some good old peas and rice will be on sale. Each stall has something unique and flavorful. 

There will be board games, live local band and performances by some of our Bahamian artists.

The event is organized by the Governor's Harbour Development Association. Funds raised assist with community projects and initiatives for the young and old.
