Holly Jolly Long Island Jollification is an annual event to kick off the Christmas season. Jollification showcase local vendors selling Bahamian food, pastries, handmade jewelry, crafts, and plants. For the kiddies you’re sure to snap a pic with Santa, have your face painted and enjoy the kiddie corner.
A spin off of the 2nd largest Family Island Regatta, the Long Island Mini Regatta events are well attended and supported every year. Locals have turned this collective fund raising activity into a prelude of the main event with competitive sloop sailing races. High energy music, scrumptious local dishes and overall games and entertainment make these Mini Regattas full of good, clean fun and excitement!
Goombay Summer Festival has become one of the most popular summer events throughout the Bahama islands, including Long Island. Longer evenings and summer break school closures make this a highly anticipated family fun series. Each year, there is a feature of art & crafts, sailing, live band entertainment, native food & drinks and games & activities which make it an exciting local event you must attend!
