There are many citizens who have contributed to The Bahamas. Mainly to the development of our island Eleuthera. While we are celebrating The Bahamas' 50th Independence we would like to recognize and celebrate persons within the various communities who have contributed to the growth and development of our island.
Come on out and celebrate The Bahamas' 50th Independence in the Central Eleuthera district.
There will be a Jubilee Gospel Explosion, performances by local choirs, Bahamian artists, and so much more!
There is so much to be thankful for in our Bahamas, let's celebrate!
We are bringing in all of The Bahamas Independence celebrations during the month of July 2023.
The best way to make a noise and celebrate is to begin with a motorcade throughout the island, starting from Gregory Town in the north and ending in Savannah Sound. Our Bahamas National Anthem was written by the late Mr. Timothy Gibson from Savannah Sound, so this is a great way to end the motorcade.
NASSAU, Bahamas, 3 July 2023 — This month, festivities galore await visitors to The Bahamas as the 16-island destination celebrates 50 years of independence on 10 July 2023.
This event flocks international divers from many different countries across the world. Divers train year round for their chance to claim a title of deepest dive in one of the top 10 wonders of world - Dean's Blue Hole (Long Island, Bahamas). Multiple local and international journalists and news agencies are on spot each year to capture the excitement and celebrations as divers take turns making those plunges into this mystifying natural wonder.
Dates are July 20th-30th and the event brings visitors from every corner of the world to witness the excitement unfold.
