Mayaguana

This event is held on the bay and is geared towards the exploration and development of the town's rich culture. Activities resemble the traditional family reunion, where people renew ancestral links, and include a beach picnic, cookout, sporting events, tournament games such as dominoes, cultural/talent show, disco dancing in the evenings, a church service and gospel concert on Sunday.

This annual homecoming event is held every Easter targeting descendants who have never been to the island or have not visited for a very long time. The celebration is geared towards bringing descendants, residents and friends of Betsy Bay together to "build on the legacy of their forefathers." It takes place on the Betsy Bay School grounds and begins with a church service on Friday, followed by a cook-out.
