Come on down to the Governor's Harbour Homecoming where the best Bahamian and native dishes will be served. Food such as baked macaroni, cracked conch, fried plantain and some good old peas and rice will be on sale. Each stall has something unique and flavorful.
There will be board games, live local band and performances by some of our Bahamian artists.
The event is organized by the Governor's Harbour Development Association. Funds raised assist with community projects and initiatives for the young and old.
The homecoming is a great way to welcome many domestic and international visitors during The Bahamas Independence week of celebrations.
There will be local performances, live entertainment by Bahamian artists, fun, food, and games for everyone.
The Palmetto Point Homecoming is held during the week of the Whit Monday holiday. This event encourages people on the island to come out and enjoy good times with family and friends. This is also a great time to plan a vacation or family reunion.

The Hope Ball is an event held each year on Eleuthera. Ladies and gentlemen get a chance to dress up in their Sunday's Best and enjoy a fun-filled evening of dancing, dining, and engaging in conversation.
Funds raised from the event go towards helping persons in the community and educating the public about the different kinds of cancers and treatment options available.
Come on out and enjoy a great time with friends and family as the Cancer Society of The Bahamas Eleuthera Branch host an evening of cheerful music to bring in the holiday spirit.
Bahamas Hope Challenge is not a race. It's a gathering of people who cycle, run, or walk distances of their own choosing and at their own pace. It's all for the greater good of helping fellow Bahamians fight cancer and increase their survivorship.
Donations are welcome.!

There are many citizens who have contributed to The Bahamas. Mainly to the development of our island Eleuthera. While we are celebrating The Bahamas' 50th Independence we would like to recognize and celebrate persons within the various communities who have contributed to the growth and development of our island.
