Spanish Wells Fisherman’s Festival

This annual festival is designed to spotlight Spanish Wells' fishing industry and enhance the visitor experience with authentically Bahamian exhibits.  It features fun fishing tournaments; delicious food and drinks for purchase: seafood dishes like lobster thermidor, conch and rice, conch salad, conch fritters and fried fish, and local sweets such as homemade coconut ice cream, coconut pies, guava duff and more; live entertainment; games including hoopla and darts; and vendors will be offering locally made shell jewelry. The event culminates with a fireworks display.

Annual Backyard Festival

During this annual festival, the entire Fig Tree area on Bay Street is transformed into a "Backyard." Locals and visitors get together to celebrate Bahamian culture, music and crafts. It also features live band performances and a Junkanoo rush-out by two groups.

Festival Noel

This is the Rand Nature Centre's signature holiday festival, offering an evening of wine and arts, featuring local artists of various mediums, and a varied selection of locally available wines. All funds raised go to the Bahamas National Trust for further development of national parks in The Bahamas.

Meeting of the Minds : Culinary Fusion

This event brings together Grand Bahama Island's food and beverage industry, offering an opportunity for businesses to network with their peers, industry buyers and suppliers. Also, culinary artists will showcase their services and products with live cooking/mixology demonstrations and sampling of food, beer, and wine. Venue is the Canal House at Pelican Bay Hotel in Lucaya.
