Boats sailing in the National Family Island Regatta
There will be five days of sailing featuring Bahamian native sloops – Classes A, B, C, D, and E. This tradition started in 1954 and today it is one of the oldest regattas in The Islands of The Bahamas.

Every Friday Night the Governor's Harbour Development Association holds a Fish Fry at Anchor Bay in Governor's Harbour. This event attracts many tourists and locals every week. Proceeds from the event benefit the annual Homecoming and various projects within the community.

Grand Bahama Island will jump start the festivities for Bahamas Junkanoo Carnival with "The Grand Life" experience during a two-day celebration, inclusive of concerts, a midnight rush, and a beach party.
