UPDATE ON TRAVEL TO AND FROM GRAND BAHAMA FOLLOWING HURRICANE MATTHEW

Update on the opening of the Grand Bahama International Airport

 

The public is advised that pursuant to the advice of Mr E. Martin, Chief Operations Officer in Freeport, the Grand Bahama International Airport is now open from sunrise to sunset for general aviation and domestic flights only. THE AIRPORT REMAINS CLOSED TO INTERNATIONAL FLIGHTS AT THIS TIME.

 

The public is further advised to stay tuned for additional updates as they become available.

 

Bahamasair wishes to advise passengers travelling to and from Freeport Grand Bahama Island, that it will operate the following flights until further notice: 

 

Nassau to Freeport 7am, 12:30pm and 4pm. 

Freeport to Nassau at 8am, 1:45pm and 5:15pm. 

 

Passengers travelling from Freeport are asked to check in at the Western Air Terminal.

  

International service will commence once the all clear has been granted by the respective government and regulatory agencies.
