Nassau Paradise Island Promotion Board Names Industry Leader Claudette Davis Director of Travel Industry Marketing

NASSAU, Bahamas, January 20, 2022 – The Nassau Paradise Island Promotion Board (NPIPB), the private sector destination marketing organization representing Nassau and Paradise Island resorts and hotels, has promoted Claudette Davis to the new role of Director of Travel Industry Marketing.

An integral member of the NPIPB team since 1989, Davis brings vast experience from within the leisure travel market, and in her new role she will support the organization’s entire destination’s marketing efforts.

“Claudette has been an essential part of the destination’s success, and this new role is indicative of her dedication to serving Nassau Paradise Island and The Bahamas as a whole,” said Fred Lounsberry, Chief Executive Officer of the Nassau Paradise Island Promotion Board. “Claudette’s years of experience and knowledge of the destination helps her understand what motivates today’s travelers and will be invaluable as we regain our momentum to return to our record tourism levels of 2019”.

In addition to continuing to build NPIPB's relationships with tour operators, airline partners, travel agents and group/incentive/meeting planners, she will work closely with NPIPB's Member Hotels and The Bahamas Ministry of Tourism to organize and coordinate marketing and sales activities on behalf of the destination. Her responsibilities also consist of planning and supporting major Caribbean events and consumer/trade shows, including CHTA’s Caribbean Travel Marketplace.

Davis initially served as a sales coordinator at NPIPB, based in Nassau, before rising to the role of Sales Director. She relocated to the Florida office in 2003 and was named the Director of Marketing Services. Her educational background includes a master’s degree in International Business from the University of Miami, and a bachelor’s degree in Economics from York University in Toronto, Canada.
