Bahamas #2 Place To Visit In 2018

As 2017 comes to a close, leading travel publication Condé Nast Traveller is reminding readers the world over that it will be even better in The Bahamas in the New Year.

The Bahamas secured the number two spot on Condé Nast Traveller’s list of Best Places to Travel in 2018. Only 18 destinations from around the world were included on the prestigious list and The Bahamas is the only Caribbean destination listed.

Condé Nast Traveller references the diversity of the multi-island destination, new resorts and increased airlift as just some of the many reasons why travellers should visit The Bahamas next year.

“Proceed to the recently opened SLS Baha Mar, a proper oceanside retreat with two pools, an ESPA spa, and restaurants by Katsuya Ueschi and Michael Schwartz (the latter opening soon). Come April, it will have competition with Rosewood Baha Mar, a long awaited collection of sizeable villas, upscale dining, and exclusive beach access,” the article says.

The Family Islands were not left out, and the article mentions “a mix of chic boutique hotels and resorts are coming to Harbour Island, Eleuthera and The Exuma Cays” as another reason to be excited about The Islands Of The Bahamas in 2018.

Readers are enticed even more with the mention of Delta’s recently added direct service between Atlanta and The Exumas, The Abacos and Eleuthera, as well as Bahamasair’s new non-stop flights between Nassau and Houston and direct service from Chicago beginning next year.

“We are very proud and honoured to be ranked so high on the list of top destinations for 2018. This merit is timely and in keeping with our message that ‘It’s Better In The Bahamas.’ It also helps us with our ongoing effort to let the world know that despite an unforgiving hurricane season, The Bahamas was spared the wrath of the storms and continues to welcome visitors and offer world-class service, resorts and experiences. We are looking forward to welcoming even more visitors to all The Islands Of The Bahamas in 2018. This is great exposure for us,” said Mrs. Joy Jibrilu, Director General at the Bahamas Ministry of Tourism and Aviation.

Condé Nast Traveller magazine has a readership of 335,000 and its online publication has more than 1 million monthly unique visitors.
