Alpitour Bravo Club Summer Program on Schedule for Grand Bahama Island

With news that international air capacity has increased by nearly 21% year-over-year in February 2019, The Islands of The Bahamas has had strong record-breaking air arrivals thus far.

As efforts to continue this upward trend and stimulate the current economy have been doubled, The Ministry of Tourism and Aviation (MOTA) has aggressively sought out new partnerships and reprised existing agreements in order to produce more noteworthy results.

In particular, brand leader and industry partner, Alpitour World has already begun preparations to continue their existing Bravo Club summer program, which brings hundreds of Italian visitors to the shores of Grand Bahama Island.

With miles of tranquil beaches, environmental activities, and incredible inclusive packages offered by hotel partner, Viva Wydham Fortuna Beach Resort, Alpitour World has successfully sold and marketed Grand Bahama Island as a destination worth taking time to visit.

As a result, the company has partnered with MOTA, and Viva Wyndham Fortuna Beach Resort for a media trip to create beautifully curated experiences which highlight some of the offerings available on the island for Italian journalists to promote.

The press trip, executed nearly one month ahead of the scheduled summer program, was strategically planned as an incentive for Italian visitors to fly with Alpitour to Grand Bahama Island.

With a total of one hundred seats allocated each week for visiting the island during the program, Karen Seymour, Director, MOTA, Grand Bahama Island, said, "The number of Italian visitors to The Islands of The Bahamas is growing annually. We went from 12,733 in 2016 to 13,500 in 2018, so we're pleased to continue this partnership and look forward to another successful summer."

As Grand Bahama Island repositions itself to become more than a destination vacation, local vendors and stakeholders are encouraged to create magical experiences and continue preparations while waiting for the many benefits associated with Alpitour’s return.

Direct flights are scheduled to begin with departure from Milan, Italy on May 30th operating through August 29th, with a stop to Havana, Cuba upon their return from Grand Bahama Island on the Boeing 767/300 Er via Blue Panorama Airlines.
