Boxing Day Junkanoo Parade

The climax of the Bahamian Christmas is the Junkanoo Parade.  This parade is a tradition that has been passed down through generations for many years. Music is made from cowbells, goatskin drums and a number of other instruments, while the colorful costumes are designed from cardboard and crepe paper.

Stuart Manor Homecoming Festival

This weekend of celebration kicks off on Friday evening with a concert in the park at Stuart Manor featuring national and local artists. On Saturday morning, there is a bicycle race from Ramsey to Stuart Manor, followed by a day filled with activities on the park for the whole family: bouncing castles for the kids, competitions, raffle drawing, eats and drinks, a fashion show, prizes and surprises. A church service will be held on Sunday morning and a beach picnic in the afternoon.
