This festival is a signature event that attracts hundreds of people to historic Bay Street on Harbour Island. It is designed to show case Bahamian culture and things that are authentic of Harbour island. The food, the music, the kids dancing in the street are just a few things that take place at this amazing festival. This event is organized by the Cancer Society of Eleuthera. Proceeds will assist their efforts to create awareness, provide education, research advocacy, prevention, care and a cure for cancer. Walk begins at 6:00am from Bayfront Park in Governor's Harbour to Cancer Society Wellness Center in Palmetto Point.
Ride for Hope designated focus is cancer and it was established for the purpose of raising money to support initiatives related to health, wellness and human development in The Bahamas. The organization flagship fundraiser is "The Ride for Hope" - now a eleven year old bike-a-thon which will be held March 3rd 2018. The event includes a weekend full of events, riding, music and great weather. Without exception, every dollar raised by participants are applied to program support.
