Bigga Mo's Memorial Weekend

The Bigga Mo's Memorial weekend is a major event held on Eleuthera every year in memory of Mr. Muqtasid Thompson. Mr. Muqtasid Thompson was instrumental throughout the whole island, especially Governor's Harbour. He had a great talent for hosting some of the best events on Eleuthera at the family-owned Ronnies Hi-D-Way, he was able to bring in local and international artists to perform on the stage. Young adults and middle aged looked forward to being greeted by him at the door or sitting on the steps.

Enjoy an exciting lineup of activities, including board games, live performances by local bands, and appearances from talented Bahamian artists.

This event is proudly organized by the Governor’s Harbour Development Association. Proceeds will support community projects and initiatives that benefit residents of all ages.

The Eleuthera Winter Residents Reception is The Bahamas Ministry of Tourism, Investments, & Aviation's way of demonstrating appreciation to all of our second homeowners and visitors who choose Eleuthera as their home away from home yearly.
This event also allows for first timers to experience a little bit of our local culture through food, local band performances, and Bahamian bush tea sampling.

Catch Jerry Chile

A five(5) mile Fun Run/Walk will be held starting at the cork tree in James Cistern to the Governor's Harbour International Airport runway and back. This year is for bragging rights. 1st, 2nd and 3rd place trophies will be given. All proceeds are donated to the Cancer Society of Eleuthera Branch.
