Bringing in the new year with a bang is a tradition known to the island of Abaco. Every New Year’s Day a Junkanoo parade displaying breathtaking sights and vibrant sounds fills the historic streets of New Plymouth, Green Turtle Cay, in celebration of a new year. The event runs throughout the evening, with regular transfers by the Green Turtle Ferry from Treasure Cay on the mainland.

This fair celebrates the annual 'coming back to the island' of friends and family. It is one of the largest events on The Berry Islands' calendar. The fun-filled day starts at sunrise with a White Elephant Sale; quality items will be available at inexpensive prices.

This church fair is held on Easter Monday each year as a fundraiser for St. Bartholomew.
Sir Randol Fawkes established Labour Day in 1961, and it is now named in his honor.
