The Shootout - Production vs Custom

The Shootout: Production vs. Custom Fishing Tournament" is a unique and exciting fishing competition that brings together both traditional production-style fishing boats and custom-built, specialized vessels. Anglers and boat enthusiasts unite in this thrilling event to see how various types of fishing crafts perform on the water. It's a test of innovation, adaptability, and the age-old battle between traditional and custom approaches in the world of fishing. The Bimini Native Fishing Tournament

The first Bimini Native Fishing Tournament was held in the early 1950’s by a group of natives who organized the Progressive Sporting Club. This year’s tournament will consist of 3 days of activities from August 3-5, 2023. The opening ceremony will take place at Bimini Big Game Club Resort & Marina on Thursday evening followed by a full day of fishing on Friday and a half day of fishing on Saturday. The awards and closing ceremony will take place at Bimini Big John’s on Saturday night.

2ND ANNUAL ACKLINS FISHING TOURNAMENT & FESTIVAL

The Bahamas Fishing Tournament Association (BAHFTA) and the Acklins Fishing Tournament Association (AFTA) are pleased to present the second annual Acklins Fishing Tournament & Festival: Species: Bonefish, Cudda, Permit and Tarpon.

This much anticipated Second Season is a 7-Day Event that begins April 15, 2022, and ends on April 22, 2022. The tournament is hosted by The Pestell Beach Resort and The Pestell Beach Bar and Grill.

Bimini Wahoo Mayhem

The Bimini Wahoo Mayhem is the highest paying Wahoo tournament in the Bahamas. With the tournament being held at the peak of Wahoo season in one of the most prolific Wahoo destinations in the world, teams across the country and Caribbean are being drawn to compete in this world class event. This tournament has no boundaries, allowing teams to fish the richest areas of the Bahamas in search of monster Wahoo. The Fourth Annual Bimini Wahoo Mayhem is being held November 12-14, 2020. This in an invitational tournament only.

Chub Cay Fishing Tournament

This release-only billfish tournament, organized by Chub Cay Club, will be held on the weekend after Easter. It will be capped at 20 boats, and only Club members and a very limited number of guests will be allowed to participate. There is usually great fishing in the area at that time of year.

Great Harbour Cay 10th Annual Wahoo Invitational Fishing Tournament

This no-rules tournament is organized by the Great Harbour Cay Development Group (Great Harbour Cay Marina) and attracts up to 40 boats from Florida and Georgia, with a number of talented fishermen who are just out to have a little fun. It will also include art, souvenirs, food, music, and dancing.

Times indicated are for lines in the water and weigh-ins on Friday and Saturday. The tournament will begin with a Captains' meeting on Thursday evening and there will be cocktail/dinner events on the other days.
