Nassau, Bahamas May 11, 2009 – Now making good on their promise to bring daily flights into Cat Island, SkyBahamas Airlines Ltd., the Bahamian Regional Airline, will be launching the first of its daily flights into New Bight, Cat Island on Tuesday, May 19, 2009.
In March of this year, the airline took a group of 19 persons to New Bight and held a small ceremony at the Old Bight Gospel Chapel Mission Home, which cares for 13 children. It was then, that SkyBahamas Airlines announced their future plans to begin daily services into New Bight, Cat Island. SkyBahamas also adopted the home and celebrated with the children by providing a pizza party and supplying the home with donations of groceries and an ongoing commitment of monetary donations.

Now, two-months later, the much anticipated services to be operated by SkyBahamas Airlines into Cat Island, finally arrived. The first official flight from the Lynden Pindling International Airport in Nassau, will commence with one (1) flight on Tuesday, May 19, 2009 at 10:00 a.m. into the New Bight Airport in New Bight, Cat Island. The daily departure time from New Bight will be at 11:00 a.m.

Keeping with its commitment to offer their customers affordable prices, SkyBahamas Airlines is selling an adult roundtrip fare to Cat Island for only $180.00, while a child’s roundtrip is just $120.00.
