Register to compete in the Abaco 6th Annual Open Water Swim Meet
Individuals wishing to display their swimming talent in competitive swimming will have the opportunity to do so by competing in the 6th Annual Open Water Swim Meet that is scheduled to take place at the Crossing Beach in Marsh Harbour on Saturday, October 3rd.
For the past five years this swim meet has successfully attracted local and national swimmers to the waters of Abaco, which includes professional swimmer, Jeremy Knowles who has represented the Bahamas in the Olympics and other major swimming events throughout the world.
Partnering to organize the 6th Annual Open Water Swim Meet are the Abaco Tourist Office and the Abaco Swim Club who are hoping to receive a greater response from the swimming community of professional and non professional swimmers. Assisting with this is the Bahamas Swimming Federation who sanctions this swim meet and promotes the event to the various swim clubs throughout the Bahamas and to the world through their website.
Swimmers will be allowed to compete in individual and relay races in the age categories of 12 & under, 13-17, 18-35 and 36 & over. Registration fee for individual swimming is $20.00 and for relay racing is $45.00. Registrations forms are available at the Abaco Tourist Office in Memorial Plaza.
