Visiting the undiscovered Bahamas by Eileen Ogintz
Nationally syndicated [US] columnist Eileen Ogintz visited The Abacos on a Learn to Dive press trip October 17-22, 2007. Isn’t that what parents want vacations to be some old-fashioned family time doing something that’s fun for all? This is the kind of place where you have a gloriously empty beach to toss a football with your son or play Frisbee with your daughter, where you don?t have to worry about anyone ruining their sand castles. You can teach your kids to fish and eat their catch for dinner. There?s a barracuda over there, a baby turtle over here, a stingray, another grouper, all varieties of fish in all sizes and colors – deep blue, yellow, brown, silver and all kinds of pretty coral. I don’t know where to look first.
