Island Roots Heritage Festival – Abaco
Abaco is set to host their 7th Annual Island Roots Heritage Festival, under the theme “Discover the Treasure of our Heritage” in New Plymouth, Green Turtle Cay April 30-May 2.
The organizing committee will once again deliver a well rounded event that will feature great Bahamian music, a variety of cultural demonstrations and interesting historical findings that can be enjoyed by the entire family. Music highlights include KB, Terez, the Royal Bahamas Defence Force Marching & Pop Bands, Lassido Boys and the Gully Roosters. Other activities include Conch Horn Blowing, Maypole Plaiting, Crack Conching Contest, Family Tree Research, Historical Displays, Informative Talks, Treasure Hunts, Invasion of the Pirates, Arts & Crafts and Bahamian Dishes.
