Briland Goes Green
[Dunmore Town, Harbour Island] — Who says that a group of concerned citizens can’t help City Hall? Harbour Island District Council, Philips Electronics, EnergyBahamas and the Bahamas Ministry of Environment are pleased to announce a one-time program during which all local homeowners on Harbour Island can replace their traditional light bulbs with energy-saving, longer-lasting CFL bulbs. Philips is generously offering an especially low rate to Brilanders, and the Bahamas government has waived all import duty and stamp taxes for this campaign.
“For every 1,000 such bulbs that Brilanders are able to quickly replace, they can offset 1MW of the energy needed by Bahamas Electricity Corporation to power its beautiful island,” notes Minister Earl Deveaux, Minister of Environment, “and as we have seen over the past several months … every watt counts!”
To make your order, e-mail brilandbulbs@gmail.com, being certain to list your name, business/residence address and contact information. Offer good through 31 December 2008.
