Bohog and the Rooters + Andros Jubilee Singers at FESTIVAL DE L’IMAGINAIRE Paris

Cat Island Rake n’ Scrape band, Bo Hog and the Rooters, are taking their music to the world’s stage, bringing even more exposure to the Islands of The Bahamas.

Just days after performing for millions of viewers as the house band for the fourth hour of The Today Show, it was announced that the group will be performing in Paris at the 16th Festival de L’Imaginaire (Festival of the Imagination) on June 1 and 2. Organized by the Maison des Cultures du Monde (House of World Cultures) since 2002, the festival is a cultural melting pot, offering traditional and contemporary music, dances and traditions from around the world.

Bo Hog and the Rooters’ colorful band leader, Pompey BoHog will be accompanied by his Rooters, Cedell Princess Hunter and Crystal Smith.

The Andros Jubilee Singers will also be showcasing the talent of The Bahamas during the festival. Known for its anthems and rhyming spirituals, the group is composed of Mackey Brothers, Nathaniel, Wilfred and Thomas and Nathaniel’s wife Madeline.

The groups’ performances will be seen by almost 400 people at the Maison des Cultures du Monde. Thousands more will be exposed to Bahamian music through recordings and a social media promotion in France.
