All Eleuthera Christmas Day Junkanoo Parade

Junkanoo is the National Festival of the Bahamas, it represents our roots and it is our heritage. Today it is a traditional rally to cowbells, whistles and goat skin drums as customed revelers dance away. Come feel the rush Eleuthera style.

Every Friday Night the Governor's Harbour Development Association holds a Fish Fry at Anchor Bay in Governor's Harbour. This event attracts many tourists and locals every week. Proceeds from the event benefit the annual Homecoming and various projects within the community.

Locals gather every week to dance and enjoy good ole Bahamian food prepared by ladies in the community. Everyone is welcome to join in. The event runs until 12:00 midnight.

This event is being held by The Ministry of Tourism inĀ Governor's Harbour and will feature straw crafts, jewelry, cake gift baskets, plants, native designer fashion show and much more. Food and drinks will be on sale. Holiday lights will be illuminated at 8:00 p.m.
